I mainly got pulled into Gaia because of its great avatar system. I love how I get this little guy (okay, fine, she's a girl) and I can dress her up into anything that is in her inventory. Here's a little gallery of my little guy in her first form, that is, with black pigtails and golden eyes, and in the outfits she had back then. Since then, I've changed my appearance and wardrobe. I am a grombie now, with a different hairstyle in red and a more expensive wardrobe (thanks to inflation). So this Hall of Portraits feels more like a memorial book for me now. I sometimes miss my pigtails, but let me tell you, it was hard to have an outfit without hats. That's because I really didn't like how pigtails looked without hats.
It felt like photo day when I took all these screenshots: change into an outfit, get picture taken, change into another outfit, get picture taken, and so on. Whee. Well, we had fun. Oh yeah, and I do identify with this little guy, so I would sometimes say, "I need to change out of my kimono" or "Yay! I'm drinking!"
